Visual section of “Opium”, second opera from the opera trilogy “Il Doppio Confine di Csáth” (“The Double Border of Csáth”), based on the life and the artistic activity of the Hungarian writer Géza Csáth.
Enclosed in the mentality hospital in Szabadka, the city where he was born, after the murder of the wife Olga Jonás, and after he tried to kill himself, the writer suffers an allucinatory delirium, caused by drugs to which he was addicted.
The video is an interpretation of this psychological state.

Based on a tale with the same name by Géza Csáth, the short movie is the cinematographic section of the opera “Opium”, second opera from the opera trilogy “Il Doppio Confine di Csáth” (“The Double Border of Csáth”).
This is the story of a man addicted to alcool, who lives a solitude that makes him a nevrotic.
Chased by an obscure presence, he is lost in a wood that seems to crush him with an terrible sense of death.
At the end of the desperate escape of the man, the obscure presence shows its unexpected identity.
